Monday we spent the day out in McCook which was fun it was nice to spend it with a couple more people but we went to a members bowling alley and bowled for a while his son was suppose to show up but never did but we enjoyed having it all to our selves and I won the first game 148 not the best score but for a bunch of elders playing around I will take it. but after we got tired of that we went out got some lunch and went back to the house yes they live in a house all to them self's which is nice but we took our soccer ball over to the park across the street and kicked the ball in 40 mph winds and was Elder Packer and myself ran after a ball well he tried to tackle a tree in his path he lost and I couldn't stop laughing so after getting controle over my self we went to check on him he was fine not even a scratch really and we continued on kicking the ball and then we went back to the house and I shot everyone with a nerf gun they had and we played card hence the reason its nice no one else lives there they don't complain we are too loud and we played dutch blits (aka Pounce) just for fun but I destroyed the elders because they had never played before then we played Egyptian rat screw, Golf, and settlers of Catan Not my favorite game to play but oh well.
Tue. We headed home from McCook and we were only allowed to drove like 55 the whole way in a 65 zone due to Tiwi box in our truck which made me had cause it took for ever to get home but we made it to Imperial when elder Bosen told me he needed to use the restroom so instead of watching for the road sign to Grant we went into town and stopped then headed out of town and I had a feeling we were going in the wrong direction but I shrugged it off but when I noticed a sign saying WELCOME TO COLORFUL COLORADO
well I knew we were not going in the right direction which I felt super silly about later in the week because of conference but anyways we did make it home and were able to keep from going over our miles for the month it was close only had like 20 left when we got home so we didn't drive for a while until we got new miles but we went out to the saddle shop and saw Jake we went to help but he had not gotten his zippers in to fix some chaps but he was working on some belts so we talked and I tried to help with a few things but it was fun after that we went and had dinner with the Holt family and we were going to help them Move some stuff to their house but they decided not to so we went to see sister bates and see when her son was moving into our apartment building she told us 6 on Friday and we would not be able to help cause that was during priesthood session of conference and went home for the day.
Wed. We went to North Platte for district meeting and learned about from elder Lambert talked about Finding and Elder Bosen talked on why does god call mortal men to teach about his perfect Gospel. and after we went to Mongolian Grill for lunch which was good but nothing amazing after we that we did a little shopping at Wal-Mart and good will then headed home and we didn't get lost this time. we had a visit with Brawley's and Magee's and stopped by to see how the Jeffers were doing.
Thur- We got a referral from Kat a coworkers Vince his wife's mother had committed suicide and she told us that they did not have a church or anything cause they had just moved here so we should try to see them we stopped and knocked and no answer so we left Greg he said he was just leaving so didn't get to talk with him did go see John and Christina she had surgery this week so we thought we should check on them she is doing rather well. then we went to dinner with Bro. Teter and after we went on a team up with him so we tried Vince again No Answer so we went to see Anna we had a good visit and Brother Teter sat there and watch her TV rather than talking kinda upset me and then we stopped by on Rod and Angela they were just getting ready for bed so didn't visit long then we went to see the Heflens and things started off well but then again Bro. Teter turned his attention to the Television screen and I just wanted to freek out on him we go with him to see these people he is suppose to home teach and he does nothing they go to talk to him and he cant hear them cause he is so taken by the freeking TV.
Fri- We were going to go out to Hershey to help Bro. McConnell with finishing his fence running along a corn field Greg was going to come with us but cancelled last minute so we went and we pulled all the wire out of the old one then went and got everything we needed for checked some Heifers he had in a pen went and got some lunch came back checked the cows again and he had dropped her calf so we jumped in to check on the calf and the sack was over his nose and he was barely breathing so we made it just in time but we were only gone for 30 minutes and then we had to push her over to her calf cause she was chasing after another one then we went and set corner post for the fence and after doing that he was going to go take his wife out for her birthday so we headed home to get changed and we went to dinner with the Brawleys we had Cheese burgers and Fries was good after that had some apple Crisp then we had to go visit John and Christina again we were going to read the Book Of Mormon with them I asked her if she was going to read with us she said no again I kept on her and she told us she would play it on her phone read one chapter then she told me she would read one and I was happy being persistent paid off once then we went home.
Sat/Sun we watched Conference two sessions with Bro.Teter and Priesthood was at the church and Greg came with us this time and Sunday went to the chapel to watch and was kind of sadden when everyone left after the first session cause they were tired. Wow I was not that impressed.
