Tue- we went out to the Bryan's and we filled in the trench they had dug to run power to the Bakery then we moved a big slab of concrete to put a generator on to run the cooler for the bakery then moved a ac unit as well. I worked on the Lawn mover and think we got things figured out to fix it next time we are there. After we went and had dinner with the Mann family and then had a lesson about not sinning and how we can be cleansed from sin. And went to watch the testaments with the Schmidt family but due to time we had to change for the next day.
Wed- We had district meeting and it was super good. This week we came up with some District Goals to accomplish and work on each month so Mike i though why not use your idea here! So after we chose our goal i read Alma 48 Captain Moroni and the title of Liberty and at the point of where he rent his Garment i did rip off my shirt to use as a title of liberty for my District and they all came up and signed the shirt and had a good laugh about it happening. After lunch we stopped in to see Greg a Less Active he told us he has been struggling with Smoking again so i told him he needs to quit using his E-cig cause it has casued him to start smoking again but he doesnt think it has anything to do with him smoking again. After him we saw Sister Watson a less active her whole life from the sound of things but she was very nice to us. Then we tried Jeremia but he was not home. Then we had dinner. Then we watched the Testaments with The Schmidt's and it was good.
Thur- We went to Arlington to see the Claussens and help them move some stuff out of their appartment when we did we stopped to talk with the lady (Pam) and she as been having a very rought time with things in her life she lost her son due to heart problems at 21. Lost her Ex-husband at 54. Grandfather at 85. And so we visited for about a half hour gave her a book of mormon and are planning to go back and see her soon. The other lady (Jane) we visited with invited her to church and gave her a book of Mormon as well it was a good visit. Then we went to have a visit with the Otsby's and so we deciede to role play and practice our teaching with them so we did and it work out we found out the problems our investigator has without making him feel uncomfortable. After we tried the Rocha's they left when we got there so we ended up heading to try a former and saw a guy working on his car stopped to see if we could help him he said he was finished for the night and then we talked asked if we could come visit with him and his wife he said yes then he invited us to play football Saturday mornings in Omaha.
Fri- We did some weekly planning. Then went out to try some tracting not much luck we did meet a few potentials we will be trying later. Then we had planned to go to the trail Center with the Claussens so we drove there to meet them got there waiting half past we call and text they said they got a flat tire and got it fixed but then went home. So i was frustrated then we grabbed some late lunch and went home then we took Tyler Randell out with us and didnt have much luck. Had dinner at the Broadhead's then came home.
Sat- We went out to Ft. Calhoun and did some tractng and tried a few Investigators we have out there but no luck at all so we finally made our way back to town and did some finding there. Went and watched Finding Faith In Christ with Corban then we were going to have a fun game activity but due to weather everyone bailed on us so we watched 17 miracles with a investigator Joe and Kelsey.
Sun- Went to motivate our less actives to come to church and it didnt work for the ones we tired but some came. Elder Chipman spoke about Testimony's and how we need to gain one then use it to keep it strong and help build up others with it. After we took the sacrament to sis. Golden then had dinner with the Jensen's then we Continued to walk around saw some kids pulling a truck whos rope broke so we stopped to see if they could use a hand and they at first were going to then the one kid said he had it under controle so they tried there way again and off they went and so did we ended the night with a visit to the Schmidts.
